In a Jan. 11 tweet, former Chicago Bulls star Dwyane Wade gave kudos to Zach  LaVine for what he’s done and the potential he continues to show.

In a league where guard play dominates, the Chicago Bulls have a good one in Zach LaVine and future Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade agrees.

The display of support couldn’t come at a more opportune time for LaVine. A recent report showed he is among the top 5 Eastern Conference guards in NBA All-Star fan voting presented by Google.

Having Wade’s support carries a lot of weight. After all, he is a 3-time NBA champion, 13-time NBA All-Star and a perennial All-NBA Team honoree.

In case you missed it, take a look at what Wade had to say of LaVine.

As NBA All-Star Weekend nears, it’ll be important for LaVine to continue shining. It typically helps build one’s case to secure an All-Star bid when a team wins or is in playoff contention. LaVine and the Bulls have some work to do in that regard, but with the All-Game hosted in Chicago this time around, LaVine has a bit of an edge regardless. Does he deserve it? I think yes. LaVine continues to learn and grow and is the Bulls’ go-to guy when they need a bucket.

It’s important to note, this is not the first time Wade has mentioned LaVine in his tweets.

Check it out:

In the above-mentioned tweet, Wade doesn’t spell LaVine’s name correctly, but his expression of praise speaks volumes regardless.

Wade’s latest tweet comes in the wake of the scoring attack that LaVine is in the midst of. In the last 10 games, LaVine has averaged 27.8 points.

After seeing Wade’s latest tweet, LaVine had this to say.

Seeing this mutual respect and admiration shared between Wade and LaVine bodes well for the Chicago Bulls organization and its future. They’re building something, and that’s what I like to see.

The Bulls need something to be excited for and this is it. In LaVine, I believe the Bulls are in great hands.
