Otto Porter Jr. = Creed Bratton

It’s hard not to laugh when picturing anything Creed Bratton ever says or does.

If you haven’t seen The Office, then this won’t make sense. Although, if you haven’t seen The Office, then this entire slideshow probably isn’t making much sense anyway. What I’m trying to say is Creed Bratton is weird – one of the weirdest TV characters of all time.

No, Otto Porter Jr. doesn’t seem to be all that weird. He actually seems like a pretty normal, quiet dude. But Otto’s play on the basketball court is reminiscent of Creed’s performance on the show.

Personality-wise, Creed and Otto don’t seem to be alike. But as far as their respective styles of play go, they’re oddly similar.

Most Bulls fans know the scouting report on Otto Porter Jr. He can shoot the lights out and defend at a high level, but he often disappears and becomes far too passive. This can be frustrating at times, but Otto’s bright moments make up for the disappointments.

Out of nowhere, Otto has the ability to drop 37 points on 16-of-20 shooting (like he did Feb. 13 against the Grizzlies).

That’s exactly how Creed Bratton is in The Office. He disappears for long stretches. Sometimes you’ll even forget he’s a part of the show. But whenever he says or does anything, you can definitely tell he’s out there taking (and making) some wild shots.

To put it simply, Creed makes noise when he speaks, and Otto does the same thing when he shoots.
