No. 7: The #TNTBulls take down the Spurs

After the Bulls’ awesome win over the Cavs on December 2, they went through a tough three-game stretch where they lost all three games to mediocre teams: Dallas, Portland and Detroit. Following up a three-game losing streak against a team with the fortitude of the San Antonio Spurs is usually a recipe for disaster.

But, as it seems the Bulls always do, they rallied together and played with energy against one of the league’s most elite teams. Coming into this game, the Spurs were 18-4, so the Bulls knew they would be attempting to take down a juggernaut.

The Bulls held the Spurs to just 32 points in the first half. That alone deserves a ton of credit and a round of applause.

All five of the Bulls starters once again reached double digits in scoring and Rajon Rondo looked like the Rajon Rondo of old, showing he can still control the game with the ball in his hands, posting a brilliant 12 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, only an assist shy of a triple-double.

The Bulls showed that even after a disappointing stretch of games that left many fans disappointed, that they can still play really well against the best teams in the Association.
