Chicago Bulls at Boston Celtics Takeaways: Bulls Fall in Game 5
The Chicago Bulls now trail the Boston Celtics for the first time in the series. In a back and forth game it was the Celtics who came out on top. While a somewhat uneventful game, there are still many things to take away from this loss.
The Bulls lost 108-97 to the Celtics on Wednesday and are now officially one game away from elimination. It was competitive, but was a strange and poorly played game by both teams.
This game was tough to figure out. Neither team seemed to be able to put a long stretch of good basketball together. The Bulls weren’t playing defense and the Celtics couldn’t hit shots. Wade had a triple-double, though you could argue his defense did just as much bad as his offense did good. Jimmy Butler and Isaiah Thomas both struggled from the field but seemed to come up with timely shots. Isaiah Canaan played good defense on IT and had a few ugly turnovers. Lots of yin and yang in this game and none of it was particularly pretty.

After a very close game, 18 lead changes, the Celtics were able to slowly stretch out the lead towards the end of the fourth quarter. It was a very subtle, boring key stretch of the game
