The Chicago Bulls hosted the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday night with a chance to make the playoffs on the line. Could the Bulls pull it together and beat an abysmal Brooklyn team? (Yes.)
Chicago entered its game against the Nets unsure if it would be in the playoffs, and emerged as the eighth seed in the East. I hear the parade is being planned now.
The Bulls defeated Brooklyn 112-73 in a snoozefest. The Bulls closed the season with two blowout wins over abysmal teams, something that is kind of incredible since Chicago has a knack for losing those games.

Jimmy Butler showed out, scoring 25 points and throwing down a couple backdoor alley-oops.
Dwyane Wade‘s struggles since coming back from injury continued against the Nets. Wade shot 3-of-9 from the field and committed six turnovers in just 22 minutes. Some of his passes may as well have been intended for the fans, not to mention the lazy defense Bulls fans have come to expect from him.
But alas, the front office and management’s wishes came true. The team made the playoffs, which means more ticket sales, more jerseys sold, more money period. Let’s get these takeaways over with.
