It’s time to look at all the things going on in the world of the Chicago Bulls heading into the All-Star Game this weekend. Really, it’s totally a mashup. But, not like a good mashup you would get from The Hood Internet. It isn’t the writing that’s making things funky, it’s the ingredient – the Bulls. Things are super weird Chicago feels like they are the NBA equivalent of a coffee shop mixing all the hours-old pots of different brews into one big canister and selling it for a dime.

Must Read: Bulls vs. Boston Game Outlook

We’ve got plenty of fun content coming your way during the already fun All-Star Weekend festivities, but before we try to experience a brief reprieve from the Gar Forman-John Paxson-(Insert ANY Reinsdorf here) induced misery, let’s dig in and catch up on some of the more important Bulls information around the internet.

We’ll Never See Another Rajon Rondo – (@netw3rk)

There are a lot of different takes on Rondo. He’s a complex guy. He says some things that he shouldn’t say, but he also calls out dysfunctional organizations and teammates. It’s always a mixed bag, but Rondo was a star. Was. Jason Concepcion dives deep into the history of Rondo, once a star in a league where shooters with non-existent jumpers could thrive and where the league is headed.

Let’s Find Robin Lopez a Home – (@notgatherer)

Our own Hunter Kuffel has been moonlighting with Bulls Confidential and has a breakdown of one of the latest trade suspects – Robin Lopez. If Chicago is going to move Lopez before the trade deadline, where can they send him? Hit the link to find out what Kuffel thinks.

NBA Trade Deadline portfolio: Jimmy Butler – (@colezwicker)

Zwicker takes a look at the realm of Jimmy Butler. There are a lot of talks about trades surround the star Bulls wing, we’ve covered it here at Pippen several times and it seems like there are really only a select few possible destinations. In this piece, you can find out more about what Butler has to offer, his value, where he could go.

Oh. So this is why the Reinsdorfs are “loyal” to Paxson and Forman, even after they pair have run aground.

Film Room: How Jimmy Butler made an impact without scoring – (@couldbelikemike)

Butler had a very strange, not good night of shooting against the Raptors. Still, he found a way to make a huge impact on the game – both from the free throw line and setting up teammates. Michael Whitlow breaks down some of the finer points of Butler’s pivotal passing against Toronto.

Why a Shooting Coach Would Be a Great Investment for the Chicago Bulls – (@easyeis)

Hey, the Bulls are bad at shooting! In case you missed that, it’s true. They don’t take 3s, they don’t make 3s. Most of their players are erratic from all areas of the floor and it is particularly concerning among the younger players that Forman is banking on. Eisner gives us some very good and in-depth info on the shooting coach front and points out that the Bulls are “vomit-inducing,” which is a win all by itself.

Heel turn: Without Jimmy Butler, the Bulls play like a No. 1 (draft pick) team – (@hungarianjordan)

Stephen Noh of The Athletic breaks down some of the important numbers surrounding the stars of this Chicago squad. He looks at how bad the Bulls are without Butler and how Wade also moves the needle one way or the other, you’ll have to read it to find out which direction. If Chicago didn’t have Butler, they’d be right in the lottery mix for the top picks this coming summer. Amazing the difference a single player can have. Butler’s recent heel injury made that painfully clear.
