Chicago Bulls vs Minnesota Timberwolves Takeaways: Rough day in Minneapolis
The Bulls Continue to be Exposed by Athletic Teams
Let’s take a moment to reflect upon Chicago’s last four opponents.
The past four games were against the Kings, Golden State Warriors, Suns and the Timberwolves.
All of these teams have something in common except for one team… they’re all very athletic.
The Warriors have the best versatility in the league as well as athletic freaks like Kevin Durant and Draymond Green. The Suns have a quick and explosive backcourt with Eric Bledsoe and Devin Booker. And the Timberwolves have a speedy center in Karl Anthony-Towns and an explosive wing player with Andrew Wiggins.
The odd team out is Sacramento, a team that has athletic players but their roles aren’t as defined as the other guys just mentioned.

The Bulls have always seemed to struggle more against athletic teams (need I remind you of the painful blowouts by the Milwaukee Bucks, led by alien Giannis Antetokounmpo?), and this week proved no different to the norm.
Chicago’s only victory came against the Kings, while the Bulls went 0-3 against Golden State, Phoenix, and Minnesota.
Maybe it’s the lack of effort, the team’s own poor athleticism or just bad luck, but plays like these consistently seem to happen against the Bulls.
