What is Grief?

Generally, grief is defined as a long period of depression (not clinical depression), loneliness and isolation. Due to the subjectivity of the matter, outsiders won’t understand it and feel that you should ‘get over it, if you’re a true Bulls fan.’

That’s contradictory to truth, however.

It is important to interpret the seven stages of grief loosely, so as to account for an individual’s differing experiences. Grief is not a black and white issue.

Actually, there are also many shades of grey, that when combined creates a spectrum, offering a path for greater understanding.

So, how does grief work?

The answer to that isn’t as simple as it seems. Follow me as I take you though the seven steps of the grieving process.
