There should not be a discrepancy in how fans remember the time Pau Gasol and Carlos Boozer spent in the Windy City with the Chicago Bulls.

Pau Gasol and Carlos Boozer were similar players during their respective careers with the Chicago Bulls.

Both players came to the Bulls via free agency and failed to meet the championship-level expectations that accompanied their arrivals to Chicago. Both could score the ball in bunches, but left a lot to be desired on the defensive side of the ball.

And, both players were maddening to watch because of their lapses in concentration and effort.

Despite these similarities, their legacies in the eyes of Bulls fans are decidedly different. Fans viewed Gasol as a classy veteran who rejuvenated his career in Chicago and helped win games.

On the flip side, fans blamed Boozer for everything that went wrong in Chicago.

Many fans dismissed his offensive production as insignificant because of his blatant struggles on defense and his overall lapses in effort on both sides of the ball.

When comparing the careers of both players in Chicago, it seems silly that Bulls fans remember each player so differently.

Boozer wasn’t as bad as Bulls fans thought and analyzing his time in Chicago and comparing the result to Gasol’s experience as a member of the Bulls further illustrates this point.
