Nikola Mirotic

His Spanish League achievements are often underplayed when  analysts and media pundits look at Nikola Mirotic. He won the league’s MVP and played well with Pau Gasol last season. Mirotic is the kind of player who can also benefit like McDermott if a guard feeds him when he is open to shoot the three.

Aside from that, he is so talented at the power forward position attacking the basket face up that he creates all the vital mismatches that Hoiball feeds off. He can’t post up very well with his back to the basket, but he’s wily and creative like McDermott attacking the rim face-up and can score plenty that way while getting his mark into foul trouble.

Gar Forman trusts his overseas NBA scouts with his life and has gotten great finds off their efforts. The Bulls front office really got two MVP quality players in 2011 in Mirotic and Jimmy Butler.

Unfortunately, Mirotic’s game is what matches the new system, but Butler’s doesn’t and he might be moved for all the holes in the team right now just because he can get back the most value.
