With the 2015 NBA Draft rapidly approaching, we here at PippenAintEasy.com decided to play general manager for the Chicago Bulls for Thursday night’s draft. Will it be a point guard? Will it be a wing to add depth? Will the pick be traded? Let’s take a look.
In recent years, the Chicago Bulls have had some success with their first-round draft picks. Just in the last six years alone, the Bulls have drafted Taj Gibson, Jimmy Butler and traded for Nikola Mirotic, the runner-up to Minnesota’s Andrew Wiggins in the NBA Rookie of the Year race this past season.

After another playoff appearance for the Bulls — their seventh consecutive appearance in the NBA’s second season — they will select 22nd on Thursday night in the NBA Draft.
The Bulls have never selected from No. 22, and that even dates back to the prior format of the NBA Draft in the late 1980s. Despite picking in the 20s for the fourth time in the last five seasons, the Bulls have proven they can find talent in the later part of the first round, and there will certainly be some great players available around the 22nd pick on Thursday.
Our team decided to give Gar Forman and John Paxson the night off, and we assumed the Bulls front office role for the 22nd pick in our own 2015 NBA Mock Draft.
