Nearly 24 hours after LeBron James mimicked Derrick Rose’s Game 3 heroics to tie the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals series at 2-2, many Bulls fans are still wondering, “What the hell happened?”

It all happened so quickly: the Bulls were up 11 in the third quarter, the Cavaliers came storming back in the fourth quarter, the Bulls seemed to have lost it in the end down five, Jimmy Butler hits a three-pointer to bring it within two, the Bulls force timeouts and an offensive foul to get the ball back with 14 seconds left, Derrick Rose ties it with nine seconds left, David Blatt calls timeout with zero timeouts in his pocket but the refs don’t call it, LeBron makes a move and the Bulls deflect it out of bounds with 0.8 seconds left, the Cavs get a free timeout as the refs review the play, they double the time on the clock to 1.5 seconds, LeBron wins it.
These few things at the end of the game were the difference between a commanding 3-1 series lead and the 2-2 reality that we currently have. But the Bulls aren’t panicking and nor should they. Here’s why:
