5. Derrick Rose was there

I am making a rule that I am done trying to figure out if Rose is back or not or even commenting on how well he played. For one, he keeps getting injured. And the only conclusion I can come up with is that he is jinxed. I don’t know what the jinx is, but I’m guessing the 87 articles a week that say he is going to return to MVP form aren’t helping. So I am doing my part to stay out of it.

Also, since Rose was last at the level people are waiting for him to return to, I have gotten a driver’s license, finished a year of high school, graduated high school, gone to college and finished two years of college. I AM DONE SPENDING MY ENTIRE LIFE WAITING FOR DERRICK ROSE TO GET HEALTHY. Think of what you were doing in April of 2012. How much has changed? How many times have you failed at making advancements towards a girl since you saw Healthy Derrick Rose? Have you enjoyed living in a state of limbo for three years? I am going to be in the middle of my wedding checking my iPhone 12 that Derrick Rose is ready to make his 14th return against Lebron James Jr. and the London Knights.

I can’t do this anymore. If Rose is healthy, I will enjoy watching him play. That is it. I am retiring any thoughts I have of how he played after an injury for my own sanity.

Can you beat the NBA the playoffs?
