Kevin Love joins forces with LeBron James:Title Contenders!

Something historical is happening in Cleveland. Kevin Love is joining forces with LeBron James? Really?

It’s over! No more Kevin Love trade rumors, no more speculation. The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Minnesota Timberwolves have officially agree to a deal that would send Kevin Love to Cleveland. The official deal consist of Kevin Love headed to Cleveland for rookie Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a 2015 protected first round pick.

Remember a time where LeBron James had to leave Cleveland because he was getting no help, that nobody wanted to play for Cleveland, even with LeBron there? That was just five years ago and now everyone is signing with Cleveland. Cleveland has now clearly had the best offseason; extending Kyrie Irving to a long term deal, signing LeBron James and trading for Kevin Love. Of course they didn’t stop there, signing role players, Mike Miller, James Jones, maybe adding Ray Allen and Shawn Marion. It appears that LeBron James has finally got the help that he needs. However, one thing that nobody is really talking about is that only a few of the Cavaliers on this team have any playoff experience. Yes, that includes the newly traded for piece Kevin Love. He’s never been to the playoffs so I can’t say that he will be able to perform at a high level there without seeing it in the postseason. The key players surrounding LeBron James in Cleveland haven’t been able to make it to the postseason yet, it’s going to be challenging.

On the bright side, Kevin Love was clearly a dominant force in Minnesota. Cleveland got a big man that they can finally count on, and this will be the first time in LeBron James’s career that he will play with a more than capable point guard and big man. What I mean by big man, I mean a guy who is dominant at rebounding the basketball, Chris Bosh stopped doing that. Something that is completely overlooked about Kevin Love is his ability to outlet pass. He is clearly the best outlet passer in the game, which will result in a lot of quick, and easy points for Cleveland this season. Cleveland is going to be able to match any team in the East, talent for talent.

Can they win the title? The Cavaliers could win the NBA Title this year, because any team with LeBron James is going to have a chance to win, but I am not expecting them to win it all this season. I want to see how it looks before I crown my champion, but if I was picking today, in LeBron James I trust. The reason I would pick them is strictly because of LeBron James. Hard to pick a Western Conference team to win because there is no guarantee that my Western Conference Champion will even make it, so I would go with Cleveland.

Is Cleveland the favorite now?
