The Chicago Bulls have erased a slow start to the season to put themselves in a position to contend for a postseason berth.
Behind the timely shot-making of DeMar DeRozan and the emergence of Coby White, the Bulls are in a heated race to host the 9/10 seed matchup in the NBA Play-In Tournament in a few weeks, but oddsmakers feel it's a long shot the team cracks the postseason and wins two in a row.
Despite the growth of White, the second choice to win Most Improved Player stepping in for the injured Zach Lavine, the Bulls still have a ways to go to get into the postseason. Chicago is up a half-game on the Hawks after losing to Atlanta on Monday night, a devastating loss in the scope of the Play-In race.
The winner of that game would advance to face the loser of the 7/8 seed Play-In game between some grouping of likely the 76ers, Heat, Pacers, or Magic.
It's a close race to the finish just to get some sort of advantage in the Play-In Tournament, but oddsmakers aren't counting on that deep of a run for the Bulls. Here are the team's updated odds to make the postseason.
