Proposed Draft trade between the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons
It should be noted that the Pistons just hired Trajan Langdon as their team president, and at his first press conference he made it clear that he wasn’t in any hurry to make a splash at the expense of his young talent.
With that context in mind, here is a trade that Bleacher Report recently proposed that sends LaVine and Ayo Dosunmu to Detroit for young players and draft capital:
If one team would immediately walk out of the room, it would be the Pistons, as they are giving up two recent lottery picks plus a top-5 while having to eat LaVine’s massive contract. They'd probably want their pick out of the deal as the price to take on LaVine.
But what about the Bulls?
Is this the type of reset they should embrace? It might look good on paper for those who are hoping for a rebuild, but there are downsides to this trade.
