Happy Draft day! The Chicago Bulls have the 11th pick and just about everything is on the table.

That’s especially true after their recent trade of Alex Caruso (which is looking worse by the day) that some are taking as a sign that Chicago is finally going to stop chasing the 10th seed and reset.

DeMar DeRozan may flee to a better team now that Caruso is gone, which may push the Bulls to do something they probably should have done sooner: Embrace the rebuild.

With Josh Giddey and Coby White on board with a re-signed Patrick Williams (if that happens), the Bulls would have the start of a new future, especially if they can trade Zach LaVine and get something in return.

Chicago Bulls and the Draft day trade

The 11th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft doesn’t have as much value as it might have in previous years, but the Bulls are likely going to have to attach it if they want to get off Zach LaVine’s deal.

A team that has frequently been mentioned as a possibility is the Detroit Pistons who have plenty of cap space to absorb a big contract and the desire to improve after an embarrassing season that included the longest losing streak in NBA history.

The following trade might work for both teams, though there would be reasons for both to hesitate.
