Luka Doncic

As of right now, Doncic will be an unrestricted free agent in the 2027-28 season, though that will very likely change, as he is soon extension eligible and will get the biggest contract in NBA history.

Like Jokic and Giannis, Luka is the face of the franchise and not a guy they are just going to lose for nothing in free agency, but dreams are all the Bulls have until they can get LaVine’s contract off the books.

If Doncic did hit free agency, this would be the biggest bidding war in NBA history and there are teams more appealing than the Bulls that would be willing to spend more.

But bear with me: What if Dallas doesn’t win a title in the next three years and continues to build patchwork rosters around Doncic? Will he eventually get sick of it? There’s still little chance he ends up in Chicago, but I don’t think it’s a given that Doncic plays his entire career in Dallas either.
