#3: Zach LaVine has lost more than a step

We assume that it will take LaVine some amount of time to return from injury and get to 100 percent, but what if he doesn’t?

Another nightmare scenario is that LaVine is healthy but has lost a step or two, averages like 15 points per game and is the most expensive role player in the league.

That already looked to be the case last season, as LaVine’s numbers dipped, but that could have been the injury holding him back.

Hopefully, surgery and rehab will get him back to 100 percent, but if he’s not, the Bulls will be stuck paying big time money for a mediocre player that no team in the league is going to trade for.

Giving up a few second-round picks to get off LaVine now may seem pricey for a guy who can play when healthy, but may end up being the best thing for the future of the Bulls.
