We are assuming that the Pelicans will defer this pick until next season, which they may not, but for argument’s sake, let’s assume they do. 

McCain's shot-making will pair well with the Lakers’ two stars, assuming that they are able to convince LeBron James to stay on for another year. McCain is one of the best high-volume 3-point shooters in the draft and would get plenty of open looks with LeBron and AD drawing all of the attention. 

The Lakers could also try to move this pick, as they are more in “win now” mode than any other team in the league.
