NBA Mock Draft: Spurs get #1 again, but Chicago Bulls get the steal

#10: Atlanta Hawks select Ja’Kobe Walter 

The Hawks will likely trade one of their star guards this summer and if it is Dejounte Murray, taking Walter here would give them a replacement who could be a better complement to Trae Young. 

Walter is a big guard who can defend and gives effort at that end, which would offset some of Young’s shortcomings in that area. 

He’s a good pull-up shooter who should develop into an above-average 3-point shooter who can shoot off the catch or get to the rim and finish. The Hawks need a competitive defensive stopper next to Young and Walter could develop into one.
