Chicago Bulls trade Zach LaVine to the Golden State Warriors

A healthy LaVine would be a nice fit on the Warriors, as he’s an efficient scorer who would at least replace Klay Thompson’s production on the offensive end.

He’d take some of the pressure off Curry and give the Warriors a second scoring option to lean on. The risks are obvious, as LaVine is coming off surgery and still has three years remaining on his deal.

This deal was proposed by Andy Bailey at Bleacher Report and would theoretically help both teams towards their respective goals:

Warriors receive: Zach LaVine and two 2nd-round picks

Bulls receive: Kevon Looney, Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II

This would be a big roll of the dice for the Warriors, who are taking on the biggest salary but also getting the best player.

Golden State would also get two second-round picks, which may become increasingly valuable in the second-apron era when teams might want to trade out of the back of the first round to avoid guaranteed salary.

It’s hard to see the Warriors being this desperate, as they might think their three players would be more valuable in the aggregate than LaVine. They are still in the hunt for Lauri Markkanen, so until that flames out, LaVine won't be a first option.

But what about the Bulls? Is this a deal they would entertain?
