Why you take under 28.5 wins for the Bulls

The Bulls stunk last year and just lost their leading scorer and best defender who were replaced by a point guard who can’t shoot or defend, a center who is not a real center and a rookie. That in itself may be enough to take the under on the Bulls.

You bet against the Bulls if you don’t believe in LaVine or Ball or think they will be traded the first chance the Bulls get.

Take the under if you don’t believe in the Bulls’ awful front court or that a team featuring LaVine, Giddey and Vucevic in the starting five has a chance to be the worst defense in the NBA.

If you think LaVine will get hurt again or has already lost a step, or that Coby White doesn’t have another level or that Josh Giddey is just Michael Carter-Williams with floppy hair, then take the under.

If you believe the Bulls will fire Donovan at some point, bottom out and start over with Buzelis, White, Williams and their 2025 pick, then certainly bet the under on the Bulls.

It’s not an easy call, as history tells us that the Bulls will exceed those low expectations (barely) and continue to inhabit the universe of mediocrity that they have dominated for years, but there are several hypotheticals that lead to them being one of the worst teams in the league.

We can at least all agree the Bulls will be bad next season, but just how bad is up for debate.
