Why you take the over 28.5 wins for the Chicago Bulls

The Bulls lost two of their best players, but are they really markedly worse than last season? You figure Josh Giddey and Coby White will make up a lot of those stats and it’s possible that next year’s whole is better than the sum of last year’s ill-fitting parts.

You bet on the Bulls if you believe in bounce back seasons from Zach LaVine and Lonzo Ball, two impact players when healthy.

You bet on the Bulls if you think LaVine is staying for the year, that they won’t be able to trade him because he is playing too well to give away.

Take the over if you think the Bulls will never fully commit to tanking or rebuilding as long as Jerrry Reinsdorf is the owner, and that they will take advantage of a lousy Eastern Conference that is not very deep.

There is also the issue of head coach Billy Donovan, who is not going to lay down or tank and is going to try and find ways to win, even if the roster doesn’t support that approach.

Basically, you bet on the Bulls because this is who they are, a 10-11th seed in a bad conference that is just good enough to win 30+ games next season and not make the playoffs.
