Billy Donovan III role within the organization continues to grow

There has been a lot of nepotism talk in the NBA with the Lakers selection of Bronny James. Interestingly, the Bulls are displaying their own favoritism with the son of coach Billy Donovan. The younger Donovan led the Summer League squad and has been promoted to head the G-League affilate this upcoming season.

By all accounts, Billy Donovan III seems like a capable young coach that has passion for the game. It is a bit humorous watching the shared mannerism between the father and son duo. With BD III now with a more signficant role in the franchise, it does have me questioning an earlier take about how committed Donovan might be to the franchise if they are heading into a rebuild mode. With the ability to work and connect with his son, perhaps the elder Donovan is more committed to the Bulls more than I originally thought.
