3 Bulls who are pointless to have on the 2024-25 roster

Jevon Carter

Carter is secretly one of the worst contracts the Bulls have signed in recent years. Even at the time, a three-year deal for the veteran seemed too much, especially when there is a player option at the end, the Bulls’ specialty.

If Carter had kept up his run as a backup point guard who can make 3-point shots and defend a little, then this might not have been so bad, but he fell off a cliff last season, only hitting 32 percent of his long-range shots.

Carter will be making $6.5 and 6.8 million over the next two seasons, a steep cost for a guy who played 14 minutes per game last season and may play even less next year.

It’s hard to see Carter in the rotation, at least to start the season, especially if Lonzo Ball is healthy, as the Bulls are deep at guard.

That’s over $12 million invested in two players who aren’t going to help the Bulls in terms of production or trade value.
