2024 NBA Mock Draft: Bulls take win-now shooter, Rockets build for future

#5: Detroit Pistons select Matas Buzelis 

The doomed Pistons fell to 5th for the second straight year after having the league’s worst record. Ouch. 

The Pistons are desperate to improve, so could package this pick for a proven player, but they are still without a front office, so it’s anyone’s guess what will happen in Detroit. 

Buzelis makes sense for them, as they need scoring and playmaking on the wing, and he has shown in the past that he can shoot, though he didn’t shoot well in his lone season in the G-League. 

I’d bet on the Pistons trading this pick, but if not, Buzelis has the highest ceiling left on the wing and they need help there.
