The Cavaliers will take a chance on a raw player with upside, as they don’t have any glaring needs, even if they trade Donovan Mitchell. 

Smith projects as a stretch four, which the Cavaliers don’t have at the moment, and could eventually move into that spot alongside Evan Mobley depending on what the Cavaliers do with Jarett Allen.
