2024 NBA Mock Draft: Bulls take win-now shooter, Rockets build for future

#17: Los Angeles Lakers select Jared McCain 

The Lakers may or not have this pick depending on whether the Pelicans choose to defer it, but they probably will given that next year’s draft is expected to be deeper. 

McCain would be a plug-and-play shooter for the Lakers who can play both guard spots and hit pull up jumpers. 

He’s a fit with LeBron and should be able to play right away.
