Is Ja Morant playing tonight? Latest injury updates for Bulls at Grizzlies
It's been the best of times and the worst of times for the Chicago Bulls just three games into the 2024-25 NBA season.
Chicago hit 21 threes and only turned the ball over nine times in a massive upset road win over the Milwaukee Bucks, who were playing with stars Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bulls forced 14 turnovers and held Milwaukee to just 32.5 percent shooting from deep.
Conversely, coach Billy Donovan's team hit 25 3-pointers combined in its losses against the New Orleans Pelicans and Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Bulls also committed 26 turnovers against OKC.
Which Chicago team will show up tonight in Memphis as the Bulls take on the Grizzlies and (possibly?) superstar point guard Ja Morant?
Grizzlies Ja Morant questionable to play against Bulls
Memphis was a trendy preseason pick to rise to the top of the Western Conference, largely due to Morant's return.
The two-time All-Star hasn't disappointed through his first trio of games, as he's averaging nearly 21 points and 7.3 assists in 25.3 minutes, helping the Grizzlies to a 2-1 record with wins over the Utah Jazz and Orlando Magic.
Luckily for the Bulls, they could be catching Memphis sans Morant. If Chicago can cut down on its turnovers and shoot even a decent percentage from three, maybe there's a chance of another early-season road upset.
The remainder of both teams' injury lists should be a pleasant surprise for Bulls fans.
