Following 10 consecutive losses to the Golden State Warriors, the Chicago Bulls are now 2-2 over its last four contests against Golden State. The interconference foes have yet to meet this season, most recently playing in March 2024. The Bulls won that contest, 125-122, led by 33 points and 11 rebounds from Nikola Vucevic.
Fast forward 10 months later, and the Warriors are reportedly interested in acquiring the 34-year-old big man who torched them a season ago ahead of the trade deadline. The Warriors are 5-5 in their last 10 contests and in need of reinforcements before a playoff push. The Bulls are blazing a different path. Although 10th in the Eastern Conference, Chicago is an obvious seller ahead of the February 6 deadline with numerous veterans, including Vucevic, on the trade block.
While most Bulls made available before the deadline are in the lineup, several guards are at risk of missing Thursday night's affair. First up, fourth-year guard Ayo Dosunmu is questionable. His injury status stems from the calf strain he suffered in December. Dosunmu returned to action on January 15 but recently missed Chicago's bout against the LA Clippers on the 20th.
Will Coby White play tonight against the Warriors?
Aside from Dosunmu, Coby White enters the contest against the Warriors with a questionable tag. White also missed the game in Los Angeles as he dealt with a sore ankle. The day after the game, the 6-foot-5 guard met with a foot doctor and received some encouraging news regarding his injury.
Although he's unlikely to suit up against the Warriors, don't expect White to be out for long. Coby's ankle injury appears to be nothing serious. However, White's injury designation is likely closer to doubtful than questionable ahead of Thursday's matchup.
Is Steph Curry in the lineup?
Speaking of guards, one of the best point guards to play the game is in jeopardy of missing Golden State's bout with Chicago. Steph Curry is listed as questionable due to bilateral knee injury management. The 10-time All-Star has been sitting out back-to-back games for over a month, but he's reportedly looking to get that restriction lifted.
On a positive note, reserve guard Brandin Podziemski is slated to make his return from an abdominal injury he suffered in late December. The do-it-all guard has missed 12 consecutive games for the reeling Warriors.
