If Caleb Wilson is able to carve a consistently elite defensive reputation over the span of his rookie contract, while carrying a significant offensive workload for the Bulls, then he might find himself on an Evan Mobley NBA career trajectory.

The optimistic aspect of a Jermaine O’Neal or Rasheed Wallace floor for Caleb Wilson is that those are still player profiles that provided valuable contributions on the court or in a trade. At some point, Wilson’s NBA game film will tell the truth about who he is as an NBA player. In the interim, it’s fun to imagine the possibilities.
