It wasn't the incomprehensible Luka Doncic trade (not many things in NBA history have been or ever will be again), but the Chicago Bulls were involved in a blockbuster deal of their own on Feb. 2.

After more than a calendar year of trying, Chicago finally found a taker for Zach LaVine and his contract as the franchise sent him West to the Sacramento Kings, where he'll team up with former Bulls teammate DeMar DeRozan.

In return, Chicago received Kevin Huerter from Sacramento, Tre Jones and Zach Collins from San Antonio and, most importantly, their own 2025 first-round pick back from the Spurs.

Having sent out only LaVine and receiving three players in return, the Bulls needed to clear a few roster spots to complete their end of the trade. Those transactions have been made.

Bulls waive Torrey Craig, Chris Duarte to complete Zach LaVine trade

Chicago decided to move on from veterans Torrey Craig and Chris Duarte to clear room for two of its three acquired players, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Craig, 34, hasn't played much of a role for Billy Donovan this season. The 6-foot-5 wing appeared in nine games with averages of 6.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 12.6 minutes. He's connected on 42.9 percent of his three-point attempts but hasn't played since Dec. 30 because of an ankle sprain.

Craig could be a useful pickup for a playoff team as a 3-and-D bench player who's appeared in 75 postseason games and started 19.

Duarte, 27, appeared in 17 games for the Bulls this year, averaging 4.4 minutes.
