The Chicago Bulls continue their homestand, hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves for the first time in over a year. Chicago looks to get back on track after a nine-point loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, which snapped a five-game winning streak.

Minnesota, meanwhile, was rolling in December, winning eight of its first ten games before suffering back-to-back losses to the Denver Nuggets and Brooklyn Nets. It’s also a get-back-on-track spot for the Timberwolves as they play their penultimate game of 2025.

The Timberwolves will square off against the Bulls with a nearly crystal-clear injury report. Minnesota lists just one player, Terrence Shannon Jr., as injured. The second-year wing is dealing with an abductor hallucis strain—put simply, discomfort along the inside of the foot—and will miss his second straight game.

Zach Collins ruled out against Minnesota

Chicago will also be without one reserve, Zach Collins, who recorded his first double-double of the season in the loss to the Bucks. Collins finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds before limping to the locker room late in the game with an apparent injury. There was no update on his status until December 28, when he appeared on the injury report with right big toe soreness. As a result, Collins' status should be considered day-to-day.

Aside from Collins, only Chicago’s two-way signees, Emanuel Miller, Lachlan Olbrich, and Trentyn Flowers, are listed as out. Olbrich and Flowers are sidelined with injuries, while Miller remains on assignment.

The Bulls list just one other player on their injury report: Josh Giddey. The Australian guard is listed as probable and is expected to play, though this marks the second straight game he has appeared on the report as he continues to manage a lingering ankle injury.
