Fans should be able to gather great insights in the team's very first preseason game.
Early team chemistry will be showcased
Wilson, Buzelis, Giddey and Powell make up the core of this year's team. Their chemistry will be a huge factor in determining the team's success this season.
This lineup is composed of excellent individual talent. How they play together should be a key narrative in this game.
If Giddey can make excellent reads, especially with Wilson, it will be a good sign for the regular season. It will be interesting to see Buzelis and Wilson on the court together in preseason action, and it should give fans at least a small glimpse of what to expect in the regular season.
It will also be interesting to see how Powell works with Giddey, Wilson and Buzelis, particularly Giddey. If the two starting guards appear to have chemistry, that should bode well.
Splitter's system will be seen
Outside of this on-court chemistry, the game will show fans what the system under Splitter will look like with Wilson, Buzelis, Giddey and Powell in the game together.
It should offer an idea of what the offensive attack will look like with this lineup, along with his substitutions, especially if these four play a good portion of the game. The defensive identity shown in preseason will be worth keeping an eye on, too.
Depth: Who will have strong reserve roles?
Dailyn Swain may have struggled in summer league, but Bulls fans cannot forget about the No. 15 overall pick.
The opportunities Swain gets in this game will be a great opportunity to show fans his talent while in a Bulls uniform.
Jaylin Sellers showed his talent in college, and his role in the preseason game will be interesting, along with how he performs in it.
The rotation in general should be worth watching to see who Splitter gives minutes to and how many. This could show what the rotation will look like to begin the season.
At the end of the day, this game is a preseason one. Expect to learn about the starters, but particularly the bench unit.
A strong bench unit is a valuable asset to have and will help the team this season.
