Bulls receive massive Lonzo Ball injury news ahead of game vs. Wizards
Lonzo Ball's injury luck finally seemed to turn around when the 26-year-old guard returned to the Chicago Bulls lineup, first in the preseason and then for real in the 2024-25 season opener on Oct. 23.
It was the first regular season game Ball had played since January 2022—the first in more than 1,000 days and more than two-and-a-half seasons.
Unfortunately for Chicago and its veteran guard, the return didn't last long. Ball only played three games before suffering a right wrist injury against the Memphis Grizzlies on Oct. 28.
Now, nearly a month later, the Bulls have a positive update to share on their point guard's return date.
Chicago Bulls receive positive news on Lonzo Ball injury timetable
Just as Ball had surpassed his 15-minute restriction by playing 17 minutes and 59 seconds against the Grizzlies, things went south.
Now, however, the team released some much-needed positive news regarding the former No. 2 overall pick's return.
Ball is expected to be available tomorrow, Nov. 27, when the Bulls face the Orlando Magic on the road in the second game of a back-to-back, per Shams Charania and Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.
Chicago squares off against the Washington Wizards tonight.
Ball went through an "extensive" workout on Saturday and again on Tuesday morning, per Shelburne and Charania.
The UCLA product is averaging 4.7 points, 3.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 15.7 minutes per game across his three contests this season.
