In the draft, the Chicago Bulls hit the jackpot with their roster revamp. Now, the organization can focus on these crucial steps in restoring hope to Chicago.

Given the talent they possess following the draft, the Bulls must focus on player development and putting out a good on-court product.

The Bulls significantly bolstered their roster

With the No. 4 pick, the Bulls selected Caleb Wilson from UNC. In his lone collegiate season, Wilson averaged 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds,1.4 blocks and 1.5 steals per game. He shot 57.8% from the field.

By adding Wilson to the roster, the Bulls gain an offensive and defensive boost. If Wilson can end up averaging above 20 points per game, it will add a much-needed offensive threat to the roster. If he can do this while being active on the defensive end, it will help Chicago become a prominent defensive team.

As for their selection at No. 15, Dailyn Swain, the Bulls continued to add to their assets on both ends of the floor, but from the guard position.

If Swain can continue to shoot above 50%, he can be a reliable offensive option alongside Josh Giddey, Matas Buzelis and Wilson. He can help bolster the defense with Wilson.

Although the Bulls did not select a center, ESPN Senior NBA Insider Shams Charania shared that the Bulls added Nic Claxton via trade. This occurred before the draft.

For his entire career, Claxton has averaged 10.6 points, 1.6 blocks, and 7.6 rebounds per game. His career field goal percentage is 62.2%. If he can be reliable, contribute on offense, and protect the rim, he adds another piece to the puzzle for a complete roster.

Charania also reported that the Bulls landed Kam Jones from Indiana, using their No. 38 pick to make the deal. Jones spent the 2025-26 season with Indiana.

In his collegiate career, he averaged 14.9 points, 1.2 steals, 2.9 assists and 3.1 rebounds on 47.5% shooting from the field. Returning to these averages would bring another key asset to the Bulls' roster.

The Next Steps

Now that they have the young talent, it is about developing them to produce a good on-court product on both ends of the floor. The Bulls must maximize the opportunities they have with the players they drafted and the younger guys currently on the roster. They need to do so while showing that the organization is headed down the right path in terms of on-court play.

However, it is worth noting that the Bulls are on a great path to giving Bulls fans hope with their talent and Tiago Splitter at the helm.
