The Chicago Bulls are among the biggest surprises in the NBA through the first two weeks of the 2025-26 season. And with their hot start, the Bulls are granting one of the fanbase's biggest wishes in finally having a team to watch that's fun again.

For maybe the first time since the 2021-22 season, it feels fun to be a Bulls fan again. Over the course of the last several years, this franchise has unfortunately been defined by consistent inconsistency, and an overall lack of direction. But now, Chicago is winning, and they're doing it with style.

This Bulls team has been playing with pace, moving the ball, and showing an overall level of cohesion that simply wasn't present in past years. The winning has been a tremendous lift to everyone's spirits to begin this season, but the energetic flair and fun style of play has arguably been as exciting.

We all remember the feeling of malaise that seemed to surround this team during the DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine years. There were still some exciting moments, sure. But at the end of the day, it felt like there was a defined ceiling as to what those teams could actually achieve in the grand scheme of things. The feeling around this squad is very different.

The Bulls are suddenly fun to watch again

Chicago's offense now seems much more fluid than it did at any point in the last three years. There's better spacing, more playmaking, and less stagnation as a whole. Fans are noticing the increased energy on both sides of the ball. Guys flying around to contest shots, moving quicker with and without the ball, and simply looking more alive and active, turning defense to offense.

As of this writing, the Bulls currently register as the fourth-most efficient offense in the NBA. For reference, even in the 2021-22 year, this team was barely in the top half of the league in offensive efficiency at 15th. Defense might win championships, but a high-powered offense fills arena seats and wakes up what had previously been a half-asleep fanbase.

It seems like Bulls fans had previously had almost no choice but to accept the mediocrity their team was constantly putting out. Now, it feels like there's real hope in the air. Those in Chicago have gone from complaining about the product on the court to actually anticipating games again.

Don't underestimate what the fun factor can do for this fanbase and the team alike. This is the kind of thing that can contribute toward a major culture change for an organization in due time. If the Bulls can sustain this high level of play throughout the regular season and not let it become just a flash in the pan, exciting things could be on the way in Chicago.
