Bulls deliver Grizzlies an Ebuka Okorie draft gift in latest NBA mock

The Chicago Bulls should take Ebuka Okorie at pick No. 15, if he's available.

The Chicago Bulls will likely get to select Caleb Wilson with the No. 4 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, but they also have pick No. 15. In Kevin O’Connor’s latest mock draft for Yahoo Sports, he has them taking Iowa’s Bennett Stirtz. However, Stanford guard Ebuka Okorie goes one pick later to the Memphis Grizzlies. That would be a massive Bulls fumble.

Stirtz is an impressive offensive talent. He can do a lot with the ball in his hands, and he would work well on the Bulls. But Okorie has more star power. More potential to turn into a face of the Bulls’ organization. That’s the type of guy Chicago should be gunning for in this year’s draft.

And in O’Connor’s mock, they would be gifting him to the Grizzlies at pick No. 16.

Bulls should take Ebuka Okorie over Bennett Stirtz

Again, there’s nothing wrong with Stirtz. If the Bulls end up taking him at 15, it will be a win. He’s a quality player who knows how to handle the ball, score the ball, and pass the ball at a high level.

Alongside Josh Giddey in the backcourt, he would theoretically work well, especially if his three-point shot develops well at the next level. He’s a good player.

But he’s not Okorie. And if Okorie is on the board at 14, the Bulls should seriously consider taking him, because he’s one of the most intriguing prospects in this year’s draft.

Despite playing for a very underwhelming Stanford team this past season, Okorie still managed to put up very impressive numbers, even in terms of his efficiency.

He put up 23.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.6 steals while shooting 46.5% from the floor and 35.4% from deep range on 5.7 three-point attempts per contest.

Okorie led the entire ACC with that scoring number, and he needed to, as Stanford needed every possible bucket they could get from him in most of its games.

He’s great at getting downhill, confident when it comes to getting to his shots, and he’s a scrappy player on both ends of the court. He has all the potential to be a sneaky star in this year’s draft.

But in O’Connor’s mock, the Bulls effectively gifted him to the Grizzlies. Should that situation play out in real life, they couldn’t let Okorie slip through their fingers.

If Okorie is on the board at 15, they shouldn’t take Stirtz over him. The Bulls should take Okorie.
