1. Bulls get Zion
The Bulls would love to add a marquee name to headline their roster. DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic are All-Stars, but none are the best player on a championship contender. Chicago has talent. Now, they need an ace.
The Bulls have limited assets, so they must find a discount. Could they turn their two first-round picks plus young talent into a star? They would have to land someone with significant risk associated like Zion Williamson.
Zion has superstar talent but has only played in 114 games over his first four seasons. Save for his All-Star season in 2021, Williamson has not taken the floor more than 29 times in one year. If the Pelicans struggle again this season, they could look to make changes.
Would this be enough to land Zion Williamson? Somebody would likely offer a bit more, but it becomes more realistic if the 23-year-old struggles to stay healthy again.
The Chicago Bulls are in a difficult spot. They remain trapped in the middle with a fringe playoff roster and minimal avenues to improve it. If they struggle out of the gate, it is likely time to rebuild, but a hot start could have the Bulls searching for a blockbuster. All fans can do is wait.
