The Chicago Bulls are 1-1 so far in Summer League, but they put together a strong showing in their loss to the Memphis Grizzlies their last time out.

Memphis is playing several NBA players in the Summer League, so it’s a tall task for a Chicago team that didn’t have a draft pick in 2023 to compete. Last season’s first-round pick, Dalen Terry, has struggled with his efficiency in the summer, but he’s stuffed the stat sheet as well.

The real standout has been guard Javon Freeman-Liberty, who played in the G League for the Windy City Bulls last season. He had an efficient 24 points against Memphis and has arguably been the team’s best player this summer.

Luckily for the Bulls, they are taking on a Sacramento Kings team on the second night of a back-to-back on Tuesday. The Kings – who no longer are playing last year’s No. 4 overall pick Keegan Murray in the Summer League – are 1-1 in Las Vegas.

Sacramento is favored in this game, but that may not make it the right bet. Let’s dive into the latest odds:

Bulls vs. Kings prediction and pick

I think the wrong team is favored in this matchup.

The Kings looked great in the California Classic, but they had Murray lighting up the scoring column every night in those games.

Since coming to Vegas, where Murray isn’t playing, the team’s offense has taken a step back. The Kings didn’t have a first-round pick this season since they traded it to move off of Richaun Holmes’ contract, and the team’s most experienced player in the Summer League at this point is Kessler Edwards.

That gives the Bulls a little bit of a talent advantage in this game, and I’ve been impressed with how the team has competed this summer.

After watching the Kings score just 70 points in a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday, I can’t bet on them as favorites on the second night of a back-to-back.

Pick: Bulls +1.5 (-110)
