Utah Jazz

Another rebuilding team that should be willing to help out a team like the Chicago Bulls in exchange for an asset or two is the Utah Jazz. They’re in the early stages of their rebuild and are not anywhere near close to competing on any consistent level in the Western Conference. Taking on Lonzo Ball’s contract shouldn’t be that difficult for the team. And it would make even more sense if they could add Patrick Williams and a future first-round pick. In exchange, the Jazz could send Kelly Olynyk to Chicago.

Even though the Bulls would be taking a huge loss with this move, it’s entirely necessary if they’re going to be serious about competing on any level next season. They can’t have $20 million sidelines for an entire season and be serious about making a tangible move up the East standings. Especially after a season in which they didn’t even officially qualify as one of the top 8.

This would be a no-brainer for the Jazz. Williams is a player that could be on the verge of taking a big step in his progression and maybe a bigger role helps him achieve that. The future pick is just icing on the cake.
