Would the New York Knicks trade for Zach LaVine?

The Knicks want a star talent to lead their attack. They upset the Cavaliers in the first round of the playoffs before falling to the Heat in round two, but they had a 107.7 offensive rating in the postseason, which was 13th of 16 teams. New York needs to add some offensive juice, and LaVine certainly provides that.

The Knicks would prefer a megastar like Joel Embiid or Damian Lillard, but what if those players are unavailable? New York could pay a moderate price for Zach LaVine and try to make a deep playoff run next season. Plus, star players often choose their destination. Lillard prefers the Heat and Nets over the Knicks, and Embiid just won the MVP in Philadelphia. New York is far from a lock to get either player if they are available.

The Knicks should be searching for a move like this. They would still have the capital to make another bold trade if the situation arose. In the interim, New York would have LaVine, Jalen Brunson, and Julius Randle to attempt to make a deep postseason run.

The New York Knicks have to consider this deal this summer, but should the Chicago Bulls accept this offer?
