7 Potential Chicago Bulls free agent targets with ties to Zach LaVine

2. Draymond Green
The breakup of the Golden State Warriors could be one of the biggest stories of the offseason. Green has a $27.5 million player option for next season, and the 33-year-old could be searching for some long-term security. The NBA added a second tax apron to the new CBA that is a direct target of the Dubs. They have a massive payroll that needs to be trimmed at some point. Could Green be the first piece that moves on from the dynasty?
Multiple teams will be eagerly pursuing the 6’6 forward, and the Bulls desperately need a lead playmaker after Lonzo Ball’s injuries. Green is an elite distributor and defender. He also brings an edge and toughness to any team. Yes, there will be technical fouls and antics, but the 33-year-old has been the heart and soul of four championship teams.
Green also helped Team USA win the gold medal in the 2020 Olympics. They were both part of the second unit, and LaVine had massive praise for the 6’6 forward in September 2021, including calling him the “best teammate ever”. The two bonded in Tokyo, and LaVine would love to team with Green in Chicago.
Does Draymond Green become available this summer? If so, there will be a bidding war that could change the landscape of the league.
