4. Justin Holiday
NBA teams can never have enough wing depth. Chicago has Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan locked in as the starters with Alex Caruso, Dalen Terry, and Derrick Jones Jr. as available bench options. Patrick Williams will slide down and play some minutes on the wings, but they could use another 3-and-D option on their bench.
Holiday is 6’6 and a career 36.3 percent 3-point shooter. The 34-year-old played just 15.3 minutes per game split between the Hawks and Mavericks this season. He struggled with his shot, but Holiday could be available for the minimum this summer.
Justin Holiday spent parts of three seasons with the Bulls. He was traded there at the deadline in 2016 before being shipped to New York after playing just 27 games. The 6’6 wing came back to Chicago in 2017 free agency. He was the Bulls’ starter for 110 games before being traded to Memphis in Jan. 2019.
Could Holiday be back for his third stint with the Chicago Bulls this summer? It could be the perfect situation as the 34-year-old is best suited for a more situational role at this stage in his career. Chicago has some depth to lessen his workload, but Holiday could be impactful when his name is called.
