The Chicago Bulls picked up a statement win on Friday night, blowing out the Brooklyn Nets to snap their losing streak.

Chicago is still 1.5 games back of the play-in tournament in the East, but it could gain a game on the No. 10 seed, the Washington Wizards, in their matchup on Sunday night.

The Bulls added guard Patrick Beverley to the roster in the buyout market, and he may help the team make this push to close the 2022-23 season.

Washington won’t have big man Kristaps Porzingis (knee) on Sunday, which is a huge boost for the Bulls in this game.

Here’s how to bet Sunday’s matchup:

Wizards vs. Bulls prediction and pick

Washington blew a 19-point lead on Friday night against the New York Knicks, and now it’s in a tough spot against a Chicago team that has been good at home (10-7 against the spread as home favorites).

Chicago ranks sixth in the NBA in defensive rating this season, and it’s 16th in net rating, which is ahead of Washington (19th).

After a lengthy losing streak to enter the break, I think the Bulls are undervalued here.

These teams have played three close games this season, with Chicago winning by four at home and the Wizards winning their home games by two and three points.

The loss of Porzingis is a major blow to the Wizards on both ends, as he’s one of their better scorers and rim protectors.

I’ll back Chicago to ride the momentum of Friday’s win into another home victory.
