Why the Chicago Bulls shouldn’t sign Russell Westbrook: No need for a ball-dominant scorer

The Chicago Bulls go as far as DeRozan and LaVine will take them. Some fans were annoyed that the front office didn’t do more to surround the core with better players but at the end of the day, if the top-end talent isn’t there, Chicago isn’t going to make a lot of noise in the playoffs.

It’s clear at this juncture that LaVine and DeRozan are better players than Westbrook. Any possession taking the ball out of the hands of those two should be seen as a negative.

Zach is having a down season by his standards but in his age-27 season, it’s likely he gets back to his All-Star form after offseason surgery. DeMar is of a concern since Father Time will keep chipping away at his excellence, but he still projects to be one of the better scorers in the league.

At this point, if Billy Donovan is wanting to get a different look at point guard, he’d be better off beating the dead horse Coby White before he enters free agency. Maybe, after four seasons, he’ll finally pop…
