3. Bring Chicago’s own home to the Bulls

This wish is purely for the fans.

With Derrick Rose now undertaking more of a veteran benchwarmer role with New York and playing sporadically, now is the right time to bring Chicago’s favorite son home.

In a December 16th blowout loss to the Knicks, Rose checked in with the Bulls down 28 and the Chicago crowd erupted. In what was a miserable night for the Bulls, when Rose hit this three to extend New York’s lead, the crowd’s reaction was loud enough to make you believe it was a playoff game-winner.

Now that might be a bit of an exaggeration, however, the sentiment remains, Rose should return for no other reason than making the Chicago Bulls fun to watch again. If they can’t right the ship by the trade deadline, there’s no point in allowing Rose’s final productive years to wither away on the Knicks instead of in Chicago where his talent would be more appreciated.

May it be as a veteran voice in the locker room, another guard off the bench, or as a simple means to put butts in seats, there is no doubt that after the less-than-desirable start to the season, the fans deserve something to root for. Even if that something is the ghost of Christmas past.

Bring Rose home.
