Looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss at the hands of the Houston Rockets, the Chicago Bulls will try to make the most of the remaining three games on this homestand. They start back up against the Milwaukee Bucks tonight, in what will be one of their final games in 2022.

Although Chicago has won three of their last four contests, don’t mistake it for positive momentum. The Bulls have emerged victorious in only 5 of their last 13 games, and they won’t have it any easier tonight against a Bucks team with genuine championship aspirations. That being said, a win here would go a long way toward restoring a little faith in Chicago’s odds to get back in the playoff picture.

With Khris Middleton expected to be held out due to injury management once again tonight, the Bulls may not get a better chance to one-up the team that knocked them out of the 2022 NBA Playoffs than they will now. Here’s how you can catch tonight’s game.

Projected Chicago Bulls Starting Lineup and Injury Report

  • PG: Ayo Dosunmu
  • SG: Zach LaVine
  • SF: DeMar DeRozan
  • PF: Patrick Williams
  • C: Nikola Vucevic
  • IR: Out – Lonzo Ball, Javonte Green, Derrick Jones Jr.; Questionable – Alex Caruso

The Bulls will once again be undermanned without two of their key reserves at the wing heading into tonight’s game against Milwaukee. For better or worse, we’ll likely see more of that 8-man rotation Chicago has recently employed tonight. In better news, Alex Caruso has been upgraded to questionable to return, pending whether or not he can clear concussion protocols.

Game Predictions

I’m at a complete loss with this team. I’d likely have better odds of predicting how the Bulls would play on any given night if I just threw darts at the wall. They’ll beat great teams. They’ll lose horribly to bad teams. Although the Bucks are clearly the more talented team on paper, the Bulls have already won their first matchup this season. Milwaukee is also clearly showing fatigue on the road after dropping their last three games and being outscored by a combined 45 points to Brooklyn, Cleveland, and Boston. For that reason, it’s reasonable to believe the Bulls could win tonight. Which probably means they won’t. Or will they? I don’t know anymore, but since they seem compelled to do the opposite of whatever I predict, let’s take the Bucks tonight.
