Bulls vs. Knicks prediction and odds for Friday, December 23 (Sell high on New York)
By Reed Wallach
The Chicago Bulls have had a poor start to the season, but things could be turning around after a thrilling buzzer-beating victory in their last game against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.
The Bulls now head to Madison Square Garden to face the red-hot Knicks, who just had their eight game winning streak snapped on Wednesday. Will New York bounce back and start another streak on Friday, or can the Bulls turn a corner and get back into playoff contention?

Bulls vs. Knicks Prediction and Pick
On the surface, the Bulls’ record is hyper-concerning, but the team’s underlying metrics hint that it may not be all that bad for Chicago. The team is right around league average in terms of net rating with the 10th best defense; despite playing the second-toughest schedule in the league this season, per dunksandthrees.com.
The Knicks have been on a tear of late, but the market is still not as bullish on this team just yet. New York was laying only six points at home to a short-handed Golden State Warriors team on Tuesday and only a bucket against a slumping Toronto Raptors team at home on Wednesday.
While just 4-6 in December, the Bulls are fourth in effective field goal percentage this month. The team isn’t getting wins just yet, but it’s time to start buying Chicago moving forward as their demise is being exaggerated.
Meanwhile, after an eight game win streak, the Knicks have put themselves firmly in the postseason mix, but we saw their run and it seems like Chicago may be primed to go on one now.
